Students, Faculty, Staff Invited To Join Discussion About the Future of Student Health and Wellness Services

November 3, 2015
All faculty, staff and students are encouraged to join in conversations about the future of student health and wellness services at MSU. How should we think about care for the physical, mental and emotional health of our students, going forward?  If we were building a system for the next 25 years, what would it look like?
Sponsored by the Vice President for Student Affairs and the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, the conversations will take place on:

Wednesday, November 4 – 1:00 - 2:30 pm - Lake Superior Rm, MSU Union Bldg.
Wednesday, November 11 – 1:00 -2:30 pm - Lake Ontario Rm, MSU Union Bldg.
Tuesday, November 17 – 8:00 - 9:30 am - Lake Superior Rm, MSU Union Bldg.

In the hour and a half facilitated sessions, 40-50 participants will offer their perspectives and discuss their views with other stakeholders who want to help shape the future. Each of the conversations will use the same four questions and you will only need to attend one of the sessions to give your input.

The questions which will be discussed are:

•    What organizational structure would create the best continuum of care for students?
•    What changes in technology would enhance access?
•    What changes in delivery would extend access?
•    What facility modifications would enhance the quality of care?

While all are welcome, it is expected that each person will come, bringing their best thinking.  We have acknowledged our many, many successes, so this is not the time to memorialize our current practice; instead, this is a time to dream about what we could do for our students.
