Remembering the Counseling Center's Scott Brown
Scott Brown, PhD, staff psychologist in the Michigan State University Counseling Center, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016, following a year-long struggle with cancer.
Dr. Brown made substantial contributions to the Center, as liaison to Student Health Services, leader of the Center's mood-disorder groups, representative to the Behavioral Threat Assessment Team, Behavioral Intervention Team, and the SIRB, and as interim IT Coordinator, but he will be best remembered for his gentle spirit, his quick wit, and his dedication to his clients and to the Center, according to Scott Becker, Counseling Center director.
"Dr. Brown will be sorely missed," Becker added. "He leaves a legacy of service and compassion that will continue to inform the Counseling Center's mission."
